MANUFACTURING TOLERANCES FOR GLASS SPLASHBACKS

All cut outs in splashback panels will need to be a minimum of

50mm from the edge of the cut out to the edge of the glass, and a further 50mm between cut outs.

We reserve the right to decline pricing or manufacture of a panel which we think will be too dangerous to produce ie. cutouts being to close together or too many cut outs.

On ALL toughened panels the diameter of any drilled hole will be the equivalent to or larger

than the thickness of the glass. i.e. 6mm toughened glass will have a minimum 6mm diameter

hole drilled.

Any cutouts or notches will have a radius corner on it's internal corners. Not a square cut 90 degree corner.

Please note that once a panel has been toughened, we are unable to carry out any further

work to said piece of glass.

HOBS

For Toughened Glass panels we recommend the following:

Gas Hobs: Position a minimum of 55mm from any naked flame.

Please note when installing glass panels they should not sit directly on or against any other

substance, use packing/distance blocks (wood/plastic) and seal perimeter with a suitable material.

IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO ENSURE THAT THE GLASS IS FITTED WITHIN ALL SAFETY AND GLAZING GUIDELINES

All glass should be cleaned regularly and only when it is cold.

SHEPWAY GLASS accept NO responsibility for damage or breakages when panels are installed by

others and have not been fitted as per our recommendations.

Cleaning

As with all glass panels, any spillages and stains, should be cleaned off immediately to avoid

permanent marking of the glass.
